Meet Stormy

Stormy Gage Watts is a native and lifelong resident of Shreveport, Louisiana. She is married to Christopher L. Watts, and together they are the proud parents of three sons: Karrington, Wellington, and Remington.
In 2015, she was elected Commissioner of District 7 on the Caddo Parish Commission, where she is currently serving her third term. She was elected President of the Commission in 2019 and again in 2025.
A graduate of Fair Park High School, Stormy continued her education at Northeast Louisiana University and the Adams Real Estate Institute. She is the CEO of Stormy’s Car Care and an independent U-Haul dealer, known for her entrepreneurial spirit and more than 25 years of experience in business management.
Stormy is a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and serves on numerous community, civic, and professional boards and organizations.

Amazon Facility: Played an integral role in establishing a new 87,000-square-foot Amazon last-mile facility at Shreve Park Industrial Campus.
SkyWest Airlines Maintenance Base: Secured a new maintenance facility at Shreveport Regional Airport, creating 150 jobs with salaries 27% above the parish average.
Public Safety & Crime Prevention
Free Ring Doorbell Program: Launched a pilot program using American Rescue Plan funds to provide free Ring doorbells to residents to deter crime.
Summer Safe Initiatives: Increased funding for summer safety programs in partnership with Caddo Parks and Recreation.
Expungement Summit Chair: Served as the chair for the Expungement Summit, helping citizens clear their records to re-enter the workforce safely.
Neighboorhood Investment & Social Equity
Guaranteed Income Program: Spearheaded legislation for a $432,000 contribution to the Mayor of Shreveport’s Guaranteed Income Program.
Caddo Common Park: Contributed to the development and success of Caddo Common Park as a central community hub.
Public Health Crisis Resolution: Led efforts on the Public Health Crisis Resolution to address community-wide health disparities.
Voting Rights & Youth Leadership
Early Voting Access: Led the efforts to establish an early voting satellite location as a Caddo Parish Commissioner.
Youth Leadership Alliance: Contributed to the Caddo Parish Youth Leadership Alliance to empower local students.
